Synopsis

The Family Action Film from the Creator and Star of the “Best of the Best” Movie Franchise! It’s a few weeks before the big karate tournament, and the struggling Mid-City Community Center has just lost their instructor. But when former MMA champ Jimmy ‘The Lightning Bolt’ Lee (writer/producer/director/star Phillip Rhee of the “Best of the Best” movies) returns to the old neighborhood, he reluctantly agrees to train the misfit kids for their match against the undefeated Beverly Hills team. Can a washed-up fighter and a bunch of urban underdogs teach their opponents—and each other—about confidence, courage and honor? Mirelly Taylor, Adam Irigoyen, Ryan Potter, Cade Sutton, Patrick Fabian, Tom Arnold and Beau Bridges co-star in this inspiring, action-packed comedy for the whole family.

Dove Review

“Underdog Kids” is a wonderful, heartwarming story about a group of kids who are always picked on and bullied. They spend their time at the community center and each has personal problems, but they want to learn the art of karate. They get a surprise when a man who was once part of the neighborhood comes back and becomes their instructor after theirs quits. The kids and the new instructor all have things to work on. This family movie is entertaining while also showing life’s important values. We are proud to award “Underdog Kids” with the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages.
