“Underdog Kids” is a wonderful, heartwarming story about a group of kids who are always picked on and bullied. They spend their time at the community center and each has personal problems, but they want to learn the art of karate. They get a surprise when a man who was once part of the neighborhood comes back and becomes their instructor after theirs quits. The kids and the new instructor all have things to work on.

Jimmie teaches the kids that karate is more than just fighting. He gives them advice on the choices they have in life. The kids have the choice to be a winner or a loser, to be respectful of others, to respect themselves and take responsibility for their actions, plus not chase the wrong things in life. Along the way, Jimmie also learns important things about his own life.
