Synopsis

Hocus Bogus (Honest Choices and Hard Work)—It’s time for the most exciting event of the year: the State Fair! But the bugs have no money. While most try to raise funds through a charity event, Carlos and Sluggy use questionable means to try and get the money they need. Children will learn the importance of honest choices, diligence, and hard work in achieving lasting goals.

Dove Review

Carlos is the class treasurer, but they do not have enough money for the State Fair. When the class comes up with an idea to raise the needed money, Carlos goes to reserve their train seats with the money they already have. But along the way he makes a choice to increase the money without doing any work. He finds himself in a terrible predicament with no money, and now has to find a way to replace it.

This lovable story contains a lesson about hard work and teaches that being honest is always the way to go. Everyone will enjoy the colorful animated story and it will bring up topics that your family can discuss.

We are proud to award Carlos Caterpillar #12: Hocus Bogus with the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages.
