Dove Review

The powerful story of Jesus Christ comes to life in this animated film “Jesus: He Lived Among Us,” which is told through the eyes of an aging John the Baptist.
Jesus was born into a world that rejected, despised and mocked him at every turn. His miracles and words brought hope to a hurting world as he healed the sick, raised the dead and willingly laid down his life, conquering death through his resurrection from the grave.
While the story of Jesus is known by many, the vibrant animation used throughout this film engages viewers to experience his life in a new and fresh way. It is told in a clear and impactful manner that will touch those young in the faith, as well as seasoned believers.
Parents are advised to be aware of scenes depicting the killing of baby boys after the birth of Jesus, as well as the crucifixion, which may be upsetting to young viewers. However, we found this film captivating, inspiring and are happy give it the Dove “Faith-Friendly” Seal for ages 12 and above.
