Synopsis

Join everybody’s favorite playmates—that doughy green guy, Gumby, and his pony pal Pokey—as they bring a world of Christmas adventure to life in these wonderful, stop-action holiday stories … including seeing the duo visit merry olde England to keep Ebenezer Scrooge from putting the humbug on Christmas!

Dove Review

Gumby and his pony friend Pokey were created by Art Clokey. They were made of clay and, thanks to animation, told many charming stories. This is a collection that focuses on the Christmas season.

The duo becomes detectives to keep Mr. Scrooge from disrupting the holiday, gets a little help for Santa when the jolly guy becomes sick, and decides on the right present Gumby wants for Christmas. These are charming little stories that everyone will enjoy.

The film also contains a story about a ranger who tells two little bear cubs about the first Christmas and about Santa Claus, and causes the cubs to not want to hibernate until Santa comes to visit. When mother bear hears their reasoning for not sleeping, she must visit the ranger for a solution so she can get some rest.

Animation has changed so much over the years, but these are wonderful classics from the past. The Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages is awarded to this timeless film.
