“An Innocent Man” is a thrilling and enjoyable film! Featuring that most famous of all western actors, John Wayne, the story is Old West all the way. Wayne plays John Brant, an innocent man on the run from the law for murder. Determined to find the real murderer, he comes across a man currently part of a gang. He befriends him, not knowing at the time he is the murderer. After warning a pretty lady storekeeper of the gang’s impending robbery, the beautiful Sally Blake (Nancy Shubert) falls for Brant and is determined to help him.
There are plenty of shoot-’em-up action sequences here, as well as horse chases and a few fist fights too. And the ending involving the bad guy winds up being a bit of a surprise. We are pleased to award this action-packed western our Dove Seal for ages twelve and above. Give this movie a watch and see how the Duke in his early years took care of business!
