Synopsis

It is rare when science, history and Scripture align, yet the last three series of “Four Blood Moons” have done exactly that. Are these the “signs” that God refers to in His Word? If they are, what do they mean? What is their significance for us today?

In his riveting and highly acclaimed book, Pastor John Hagee explores the supernatural connection of certain celestial events to biblical prophecy—and to the future of God’s chosen people and to the nations of the world.

Now comes the movie “Four Blood Moons,” produced by Rick Eldridge and directed by Academy Award® winner Kieth Merrill. These veteran filmmakers illustrate this fascinating phenomenon in a compelling docu-drama. Cinematic recreations of historical events from the United States, Israel and throughout the Middle East illustrate this story, along with expert testimonials from scientists, historians and religious scholars.

Just as in biblical times, perhaps God is controlling the sun, the moon and the stars to send our generation a signal that something is about to change. The question is: Are we watching and listening for His message?

Dove Review

“Four Blood Moons” packs a powerful punch of prophetic insight for today’s generation! Based on the book by Pastor John Hagee, this compelling documentary looks at Israel’s history and the significant events in Israel’s past during four previous blood moons. The next blood moon is scheduled for 2015. Will a new prophetic event involving Israel come to pass?

This fascinating documentary contains insights from various experts such as Scott Evans, a JPL scientist who speaks about the perfect aligning of the Earth and the full moon, which produces a red moon. Mark Blitz, the pastor of El Shaddai Ministries, talks about the past four blood moons. Pastor John Hagee speaks of the connections of past blood moons and how that Joel 2:31 speaks of the moon turning to blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.

Radio host, author and personality Dennis Prager asks this question: “Why wouldn’t God send signs?” Prager says he would never debunk signs and adds, “I find these things very suggestive.” The film features archived footage as well as recreations of historical events.

Israel’s Six Day War in 1967, the Holocaust perpetrated by the Nazis, and Israel becoming a State in 1948 are examined. In fact, it is revealed that President Harry S Truman, the first world leader to recognize Israel as a nation, read his Bible for three days and knew he had to stand with Israel. He wanted to be remembered as the second “Cyrus,” the leader who allowed Israel to return to their homeland after a long imprisonment by various countries including Babylon.

This is a thought-provoking film for those who have wondered about the future of mankind and have wondered about signs in the skies. It is a rare documentary in that it deals with current events yet compares events to Biblical prophecy as well as history. We are glad to highly recommend it and we award it our “Faith-Friendly” Seal for ages 12+. “Four Blood Moons” is a triumph!
