When Rick returns to his hometown of Fillmore as a lawyer for a big firm that wants to turn the small town into a ski resort, little does he realize what he is missing out on. He hopes to get his business done quickly and return to the big city, while proposing to his girlfriend, who happens to be his boss’s daughter, along the way.

Rick sees old friends and his mom, plus Lisa, the girl he left behind, who is a lawyer trying to prevent the town from being taken over. As his friends involve him in their plans, Rick sees that Fillmore is not a bad place just as it is. And maybe there are some feelings that shouldn’t be replaced either. He decides to help Lisa find a way to stop the town’s demise before it is too late.
