Synopsis

Join in the adventures of the little girl who becomes a giant among her people in this spectacular, action-filled tale based on the much-loved children’s classic by master storyteller Hans Christian Anderson. Thumbelina doesn’t anticipate the trials and thrilling adventures that await her out in the larger world as she journeys to the Meadow of the Tulips to stop the spring thaw from washing away her village.

Dove Review

Thumbelina is sent on a journey by her father to save the little people in Tulip Meadow. The dam that holds back the water from the melting snow on the mountain will burst if it is not fixed, flooding Thumbelina’s home. She must get to the Prince and let him know that they need help to make the repairs. As she travels she gets lost and meets some characters who are not very helpful to her quest. But her one good deed is repaid by a Swallow that helps her just in time.

This is a charming, animated story that will entertain the entire family. The Dove Family Approved Seal for all ages is awarded to this version of “Thumbelina.”
