Dove Review

“Happy” is a film that explores the basic ingredients that make us happy. It opens with a quote, “The Constitution guarantees the American people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself.” — Benjamin Franklin.

Psychologists say that our personalities are made up of 50% genetics, 40% Intentional behavior, and only 10% circumstances. This fascinating documentary takes the viewer into different cultures worldwide and evaluates happiness from these various life experiences.

Key ingredients that contribute to happiness are; aerobics, being in the zone (whether surfing, running, or simply listening to music), meditation/prayer, compassion, loving-kindness, caring for others. We are happy to award this moving and thought-provoking documentary the Dove Family Approved Seal for audiences over age 12.
