CROSSWALK.COM
LAUNCHES NEW “ENTERTAINMENT CHANNEL”
FOR ONLINE
CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY
CHANTILLY, VA – March 27, 2001 – Crosswalk.com (Nasdaq: AMEN), the leading standalone Christian Web site, announced the launch of its new online Entertainment Channel (http://entertainment.crosswalk.com). As part of this effort, the company has combined its Music and Movie Channels in order to provide a much more dynamic experience for visitors and advertisers while continuing its focus on reducing costs through partnerships.
Key components of the new Entertainment Channel include movie reviews through the Dove Foundation; Christian radio music streaming provided through a partnership with Oneplace.com, a division of Salem Communications; and local Christian events listings through iTickets.com. The new Entertainment Channel features original content via artist and celebrity interviews, increased reader interaction through polls and surveys, and a chronological listing of featured stories.
Dick Rolfe, Dove Foundation President and CEO, stated, "The Dove Foundation is excited about partnering with Crosswalk.com. We live in a media-dominated culture where the simple task of selecting a wholesome movie or video can be overwhelming. We look forward to interacting with Crosswalk.com readers and addressing their concerns about Hollywood's impact on Christian values, and providing families with adequate information before they make their entertainment choices."
Scott Fehrenbacher, Crosswalk.com President and CEO, commented, “I’m enthusiastic about providing our audience with the Web’s top destination for the latest insights on Christian music, celebrities and entertainment. Significantly, the new channel’s efficient structure and operation will lead to great cost savings and staff efficiencies as well.”
