All-New Entertainment Review Show Sponsored by Zondervan
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., October 6, 2009 –
The Dove Foundation just completed the pilot episode of
DOVE SPOTLIGHT, a national television show focusing on movie, DVD and
videogame reviews. Storytelling Pictures, a Michigan-based production company,
was selected by Dove to film the pilot in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Zondervan, the
world’s leading Christian publisher, is the show’s main sponsor.
“Our goal is to make
a high-quality program; essentially a faith and family ‘At the Movies’,” said
Dick Rolfe, co-founder and CEO of The Dove Foundation. “With the expert team at
Storytelling Pictures, I feel we’ve accomplished that.”
Rolfe added, “Zondervan is a natural sponsor
for the show, since their mission and the markets they serve are compatible with
Dove.”
DOVE SPOTLIGHT is co-hosted by Grand Rapids
natives, Rachael Ruiz and Brian Burch. The two are “parents talking to parents”
offering timely advice and insights on the latest theatrical and DVD releases
based on The Dove Foundation guidelines. Derek Emerson, a fulltime college
student is the show’s videogame and technology host.
The show’s pilot will air on Sky Angel, NRB
Network, and Total Living Network (TLN) and select affiliates beginning October
9th. Grand Rapids stations, WOTV (ABC-4) and WXSP TV15 will air the show on
October 10 and 11 respectively. Several faith and family websites will also
stream segments of the pilot.
DOVE SPOTLIGHT broadcast schedule can be found at

Since 1991, The Dove Foundation has publicly
acknowledged motion picture storytelling that exemplifies positive and uplifting
values with its familiar blue and white
Dove FAMILY APPROVED Seal. The Foundation review board awarded its Seal to
36 feature films representing a wide variety of genres during 2008.
